Solingen expresses gratitude to its benefactors heartily.
In a heartwarming display of solidarity, the residents of Solingen are coming together this coming Saturday to show their appreciation for first responders, emergency services, and crisis counselors. The event, a potato pancake extravaganza, is the result of a joint initiative by KG Muckemau and Lebensherbst e.V.
The idea for the event was conceived by KG Muckemau, who found themselves with an abundance of potato pancake dough following the cancellation of a festival. Seeing an opportunity to bring joy to the community, they proposed the idea to Lebensherbst e.V., and the partnership was born.
Lebensherbst e.V., an association that supports the elderly and people in need, has agreed to cover the costs and organization of the event, while KG Muckemau volunteers will be busy baking the potato pancakes. Petra Krötzsch, Managing Director of Lebensherbst e.V., stated, "In times of need, the people of Solingen always stick together."
The potato pancake event will take place on the outdoor grounds of the Elisabeth-Roock-House, located at Wiener Str. 65, 42657 Solingen, from 12-2 pm. A buffer taxi service has been organized to deliver the potato pancakes to various locations, and motorcycle and scooter drivers have been called upon to help with deliveries.
The aim of the event is twofold: to bring joy to the residents of the Elisabeth-Roock-House and to thank the hardworking first responders and emergency services who have been on the front lines during these challenging times. The potato pancake event will be divided equally between the Lebensherbst association and KG Muckemau for a donation of five euros per portion.
Both associations are pleased with the cooperation and the good teamwork that has gone into organizing this community action. Petra Krötzsch, Managing Director of Lebensherbst e.V., is particularly pleased with the great response and altruism of the Solingen community.
The potato pancake event is shaping up to be a wonderful way for the community to come together and show their appreciation for those who have been working tirelessly to keep them safe. So, mark your calendars for this coming Saturday, and let's show Solingen's spirit of unity and compassion!
