Southeast location establishes for Cornerstone, in partnership with Alaska Commercial Contractors
Cornerstone General Contractors, a privately held Alaska general contractor with a thirty-two-year footprint in the state, has opened a new regional office in Juneau, Alaska, on July 14, 2025. This marks Cornerstone's fourth regional location statewide, further solidifying its presence in Alaska.
The new office, located within Alaska Commercial Contractors' (ACC) headquarters at 10221 Glacier Highway in Juneau, is Cornerstone's first permanent presence in Southeast Alaska. The partnership between Cornerstone and ACC, two prominent players in the Alaskan construction industry, is a joint venture involving shared office space and partnerships in a new region of the state.
ACC, founded in 2007, delivers design-build, vertical and civil construction, and specialty concrete services across Southeast Alaska. The company has been serving Southeast Alaska since its inception, with notable projects including the expansion of the Juneau Masonic Center, the renovation of Stedman Elementary School in Petersburg, and the interior renovation of the Delta Air Lines area within Juneau International Airport.
For Cornerstone, the new office serves as its operational hub for projects throughout Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan, Petersburg, and surrounding communities. Past projects for Cornerstone include the UAA Alaska Airlines Center, the South Peninsula Hospital expansion project, and the Northern Pacific Airways North Terminal renovation.
"Launching a permanent office inside ACC's facility is the next step for giving people their best construction experience," said Joe Jolley, President of Cornerstone. ACC President Doug Courtney added that sharing office space with Cornerstone strengthens their shared mission to keep Southeast construction work in the hands of Alaskans.
The partnership between Cornerstone and ACC is expected to deliver projects faster, more safely, and with even greater community benefit. Cornerstone General Contractors currently employs more than 100 professionals statewide and is committed to continuing this growth in Southeast Alaska.
Cornerstone's headquarters is located in Anchorage, and it also has regional offices in Fairbanks and Nome. The expansion to Southeast Alaska is a strategic move to better serve clients in this region and contribute to its growth and development.
The opening of the new office in Juneau is a significant milestone for Cornerstone General Contractors, further cementing its position as a leading general contractor in Alaska. The partnership with ACC is set to bring about exciting opportunities for both companies and the communities they serve.
