Speeding motorist undergoes drug test, results show substance use
On April 10, 2025, at around 11:45 AM, a 45-year-old man was driving a VW on Friedensstraße in Hagen. According to Police Hagen, the man was stopped by officers who were conducting checks. The officers noticed that he had bloodshot eyes and smelled of cannabis.
During the stop, the officers found a small tin of white powder in the man's jacket pocket. A voluntary drug test confirmed that the man was under the influence of intoxicants. As a result, the man received a citation and was prohibited from driving motor vehicles in public traffic until the effects of the intoxicants had worn off.
A separate criminal charge was filed for the possession of intoxicants. The man was required to accompany the police to the station for a blood sample to be taken. The intoxicants were seized.
