Sports network TNT set to broadcast England's upcoming Ashes series in Australia during the 2025-2026 season.
The Ashes, one of sport's biggest rivalries, is set to return this winter as TNT Sports secures the rights to broadcast the highly anticipated series between Australia and England.
Scott Young, EVP at WBD Sports Europe, expressed his excitement, stating that they are privileged to bring every ball of the Ashes series to TNT Sports. The series will offer compelling, must-watch sporting drama as two great sides led by captains Pat Cummins and Ben Stokes go head-to-head.
England will travel to Australia aiming to break Australia's grip on the urn, which they have held since 2018. The series will take place from November 21, with an undisclosed date in Sydney yet to be announced.
TNT Sports has previously shown England's away Ashes series, with Sky Sports broadcasting their home internationals. However, this one-year deal between TNT Sports and Cricket Australia includes broadcasting all Australia men's and women's home internationals until March 2026.
The deal ensures UK audiences will get great coverage and won't miss a moment of the Australian summer of cricket action. The series will be shown on TNT Sports after a thrilling contest with India resulted in a 2-2 series draw at The Oval.
In addition to the Ashes series, TNT Sports will broadcast the NRMA Insurance Ashes, as well as high-profile series against India and South Africa, and a multi-format women's series against India. The broadcaster also holds the rights to England's white-ball series in Ireland, New Zealand, and Sri Lanka over the next five months.
Todd Greenberg, CEO of Cricket Australia, expressed his pleasure at extending the partnership with TNT Sports. He stated that the broadcaster has consistently delivered high-quality coverage and they look forward to continuing this partnership.
BT Sport is a predecessor of TNT Sports, and this partnership marks a significant milestone in the broadcaster's journey in the world of cricket. With the Ashes series just around the corner, cricket fans in the UK can gear up for an exciting season of cricket action on TNT Sports.
