Spotlight Shines on Sustainable Dietary Practices

In the city of Landshut, an exciting opportunity is now available for teachers and students alike. Landshut, a member of the Netzwerk der Biostädte, has initiated a course focused on bio-food, aiming to promote sustainable and environmentally friendly eating habits.

Over two coordinated lessons, key aspects of bio-food will be taught, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of the term "bio" and insights into the production and characteristics of bio-food. The course is designed for classes from grades six to nine of all school types and can be integrated into the subjects of biology, geography, and nutrition and health.

The city is offering fee coverage for the first five registrations from within its city limits, making this educational opportunity even more accessible. Interested teachers are encouraged to register early to secure their spot, as the registration deadline is implied to be early.

Registration can be made through the Umweltstation staff, the registration form available at www.umweltstation-our website, or via email. The registration process involves filling out a form and paying a fee of one euro per participant.

The course is initiated and conducted by Umweltstation Landshut, Biostadt Landshut, and Ökomodellregion. For any queries or further information, the Umweltstation staff can be contacted at telephone 88 -1484 or -1690, or via email at umweltstation@our website.

The goal of this course is to strengthen awareness of sustainable eating and its health and ecological benefits, as well as to encourage students to reflect on their eating habits. By promoting responsible use of natural resources in daily school life, the course aims to make a positive impact on the environment and the community.

The teachers offering the environmental course on bio-food at schools in Landshut include Sabine Christof and Mandy Pülz, who are involved with the environmental working group at Meranier-Gymnasium alongside environmental educator Jennifer Thiem from Umweltstation Weismain.
