Stabbing incident incorrectly labeled as occurring in Berlin-Steglitz, actually took place in France, as per videos.
In recent days, there have been misleading claims circulating on social media about a knife attack in Germany on platform On1. However, a thorough investigation has revealed that these claims are unfounded.
The incident in question actually took place on February 3, 2023, in Livry-Gargan, a suburb located near Paris, France, and not in Berlin-Steglitz, Germany as previously claimed.
A video of the tragic event has been shared on various platforms since early February. The video, which is a recording of an act of violence, shows a man being stabbed on Boulevard Jean-Jaurรจs. A round sign with the inscription "Super Bock" is visible in the foreground of the video, indicating the location of the incident.
Interestingly, a reverse image search of a still image from the video led to a news report from the Czech Republic, which linked to a video of the same event from a slightly different angle.
The perpetrator in this sad incident is reportedly mentally ill and has a history of violence, including a past killing. However, his identity has not been publicly disclosed in the media due to privacy concerns.
It's worth noting that the location of the incident, Livry-Gargan, was incorrectly claimed to be Berlin-Steglitz in previous reports. This misinformation may have contributed to the misleading claims about the incident occurring in Germany.
In addition, a bus with French lettering can be seen passing by in the video, further confirming that the incident took place in France.
The house where the incident occurred, as seen in the video, is recognizable again on Google Street View, providing further evidence of the location.
The perpetrator is currently under treatment, and the 27-year-old man who was murdered in the incident has not been identified publicly.
We hope this clarification helps to dispel any confusion surrounding this tragic event and encourages everyone to be vigilant about the information they share online. Always verify information before spreading it, especially when it comes to sensitive topics like violence and crime.
