Star partners Anastasia and Sergiu are set to tie the knot
In the heart of Chisinau, the Republic of Moldova, a grand celebration took place over the weekend, marking a significant milestone for professional dance partners Anastasia and Sergiu. The wedding ceremony and party, held in Anastasia's hometown, was a year after their civil ceremony.
Anastasia, 27, and Sergiu, 32, have been dancing together since 2017, and their partnership has proven to be a successful one. They have competed in numerous tournaments and have represented Moldova since 2022. In 2024, they won the World Cup in Wuxi, China, and became vice-European champions and world champions in Professional Show Dance Latin.
The wedding was a star-studded event, with Fabian Hambüchen, a celebrity and fellow contestant from the RTL show "Let's Dance," in attendance. The "Let's Dance" family, including Renata and Valentin Lusin, another professional dance couple, also graced the occasion. Renata and Valentin are an example of couples who found love off the dance floor and are now a part of the RTL show as professional dancers.
The production team of "Let's Dance" expressed their well-wishes for Anastasia and Sergiu's marriage, and RTL followed suit, sending their best wishes as well. Since 2023, Anastasia and Sergiu have been part of the professional dancers on RTL's "Let's Dance" show. In the current season, Anastasia reached third place with former gymnast Fabian Hambüchen. Anastasia is also a Latin competition coach at tus Stuttgart, one of the largest sports clubs in the state capital.
