Star Wars Celebration to Catch Glance of Upcoming Star Wars Video Game Title

The gaming world is abuzz with anticipation as development powerhouse Bit Reactor, known for their work on games like XCOM and Marvel's Midnight Suns, and Respawn Entertainment, creators of Apex Legends and Titanfall, team up to bring us a new Star Wars game.

Set to be unveiled at the Star Wars Celebration event on April 19, 2025, the game, titled Star Wars Zero Company, is a single-player, turn-based tactics game set during the late Clone Wars. The game is planned for release in 2026 on PC and consoles.

This will mark the franchise's first big foray into the tactics/strategy genre since 2006's Empire at War. Fans of the series have been eagerly awaiting a return to this style of gameplay, and the collaboration between Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment promises an exciting new experience.

While Respawn Entertainment is currently working on a third Jedi game, it is not yet ready for release. Meanwhile, Saber Interactive continues to work on the remake of Knights of the Old Republic that it inherited from Aspyr.

Quantic Dream is still hard at work on Star Wars Eclipse, but details about that project remain scarce.

Since 2015, Star Wars has been getting a major video game from a triple-A developer on a fairly regular basis, with most of these games published by EA. However, the new Star Wars game from Bit Reactor will be covered during the Star Wars Celebration event, offering fans a glimpse into what's to come.

The Bit Reactor reveal panel for Star Wars Zero Company will take place from 4:30-5:30 at Star Wars Celebration on Saturday, April 19. Fans are encouraged to tune in to catch a first look at this highly anticipated game.

Upcoming releases for Marvel, Star Trek, DC Universe (on film and TV), and Doctor Who are detailed elsewhere, but it's clear that the Star Wars franchise is set to make a big splash in the gaming world once again with Star Wars Zero Company.
