Statement from SBR Holders: Investigation of Free Rollator Checks Duration in Seawater Containers

The Senior Advisory Council of Haltern am See (Seniorenbeirat Haltern am See) has announced the resumption of its annual free rollator checks, aiming to ensure the safety and roadworthiness of mobility aids for the elderly.

The series of rollator checks, now in its eleventh session, will commence on September 2nd in the parish hall of Haltern am See. The checks will be conducted by the Senior Advisory Council, who organise these events free of charge for the town's residents.

On September 30th, a new opportunity has been created in the city centre at the Franziskushaus, group room 2nd floor, from 10 AM to 12 PM for those seeking a quick rollator check on short notice.

The technical inspections will be carried out by a team of experts who will take turns to conduct the checks during each session. This year, the checks will also be held at the Franziskushaus by the hospital for the first time.

The rollator checks will continue to tour the villages, with the next stop being St. Norbert Haus in Flaesheim on September 16th, from 10 AM to 12 PM. The series will traditionally conclude with an appointment at the old town hall on October 7th, from 9:30 AM to 12 PM.

The second half of the rollator checks is taking place in the outskirts of the city, with sessions scheduled at St. Sixtus and St. Anna retirement homes on September 9th and 23rd, each from 9 AM to 12 PM. Technical experts from two local nursing homes, Borger and Lückenotto, are also involved in the rollator checks.

So far, unlike last year, no rollators have been advised to be discarded due to severe defects in the rollator checks. The SBR considers this a success of the SBR's annual free rollator checks.

A total of 132 rollators have been technically inspected for road safety in the five previous sessions. Repair appointments will be scheduled directly during the rollator checks if necessary.
