Stolen Bicycle Recovered: Duisburg's Bike Retrieved in Greifswald (BPOLI PW - GdpD POM)
The Federal Police Directorate Bad Bramstedt, responsible for Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, and the North and Baltic Seas, was recently involved in an incident at Greifswald station. A person was trapped in an elevator on platform 2.
Employees of GWS managed to free the individual from the elevator and temporarily shut it down. However, the person was accused of causing the incident by kicking the elevator, an allegation they denied.

Under its jurisdiction, the Directorate performs various tasks, including border police protection, railway police tasks, and border police, maritime police, and environmental police tasks in the North and Baltic Seas. In a separate incident, a 16-year-old German, who has not been publicly named, allegedly bought a supposedly stolen bicycle for 150 β¬ from someone named "Steven" on August 11, 2025, in Anklam. The bicycle the person was carrying was reported missing since 09.07.2025 by the Police Presidency of Duisburg.
After consultation with the criminal duty service of the state police, the bicycle was secured and handed over to the Greifswald police station. The 16-year-old German was released after the measures were completed, including filing a criminal complaint for suspected fencing.
