The Thuringia Police State Police Headquarters Erfurt is currently investigating a case of mailbox theft and violation of postal secrecy that occurred in Erfurt's Holunderweg.

Unidentified individuals tampered with the mailbox facility of a multi-family house between Monday and Tuesday, prying out the mailbox of a 37-year-old tenant and stealing it along with its contents. At least two letters of unknown origin were among the stolen items.
