In an early morning incident on Saturday, a stolen Ford C-Max was stopped on the A81 motorway towards Würzburg. The incident, which occurred just after 6 a.m., resulted in significant damage and several injuries.

Initial investigations revealed that the Ford driver was under the influence of intoxicating substances and did not have a valid driver's license. The driver, a 21-year-old individual, attempted to evade control, brushing against a patrol car and damaging road signs and guardrails.

The Ford was eventually guided onto the T + R rest area Wunnenstein Ost by two patrol cars. However, the driver continued to be uncooperative and collided with a third patrol car that had blocked the road ahead.

As a result of the collision, the Ford driver, a 16-year-old passenger in the Ford, two police officers, and one policewoman were slightly injured. The 16-year-old passenger was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The total material damage caused by the incident is approximately 38,000 euros.
