Stolen Wallet Withdraws Money Using Stolen Credit Card; Police Seek Any Leads for Investigation
Yesterday afternoon, at around 4:30 PM, an 83-year-old woman from Meinhard became a victim of a purse snatching at the Aldi supermarket located on Niederhoner Straรe, Eschwege.
The incident occurred while the woman's purse, containing identification documents, health insurance card, credit cards, and a three-digit cash amount, was on a shopping cart (child seat). Unknown thieves were able to take the purse in an unobserved moment.
Shortly after, around 4:37 PM, the thieves used the stolen credit card to withdraw 2000 Euros in cash from an ATM of the Sparkasse in the "Kaufland" shopping center in Eschwege.
The police in Eschwege are actively investigating this case, along with another related incident. The Police Headquarters North Hesse and Police Directorate Werra-Meiรner are involved in the investigation.
