Nuveen Private Capital, a leading private equity firm, has announced a strategic partnership with investment firms Hunter Point Capital (HPC) and Temasek. This partnership aims to further bolster Nuveen Private Capital's reach and capabilities.

The partnership comes following Nuveen's majority acquisition of Arcmont and the merger with Churchill Asset Management, which formed Nuveen Private Capital in March 2023. Avi Kalichstein, co-founder and CEO of Hunter Point Capital, praised Nuveen Private Capital for its global reach, deep local market expertise, longstanding relationships, and ability to source deal flow.

In this partnership, HPC and Temasek will make minority investments in Nuveen Private Capital. Temasek, headquartered in Singapore, boasts a net portfolio value of $324bn. They will also provide long-term capital commitments to the platform's new and existing strategies, mirroring the commitments from Temasek's long-term partner, Temasek, which remain unchanged.

Bill Huffman, chief executive of Nuveen and chair of Nuveen Private Capital, expressed affirmation of the original vision for an integrated, collaborative platform. He emphasized that the focus of Nuveen Private Capital's investments remains on private equity-backed middle market companies.

Since its inception, Nuveen Private Capital has been active, investing more than $21bn in over 400 companies in the past year. Churchill and Arcmont senior management and employees will retain minority stakes in Nuveen Private Capital.

Both HPC and Temasek are excited to expand their engagement with Nuveen Private Capital and play a strategic role in its next phase of growth. However, no new investments made by HPC and Temasek in Nuveen Private Capital were specified in the current paragraph.

It's worth noting that no additional information about the head of Nordics business development at Nuveen Private Capital was provided in the given text. The combined entity now has an $87bn (£64.7bn) private capital platform, positioning it as a formidable player in the private equity market.

Nuveen Private Capital's strategic partnership with HPC and Temasek underscores its commitment to continuous growth and expansion, as it seeks to capitalize on opportunities in the private equity-backed middle market.
