Strategies for Dementia Mitigation

The Salt Castle in Germany will host a lecture on dementia prevention titled "Prevention in Dementia - Memory loss doesn't have to be fate." This informative session, scheduled for 1:30 PM, will be delivered by gerontologist Johanna Myllymäki from a specialized centre.

Johanna Myllymäki's lecture promises to be both enlightening and practical, as she discusses factors that increase the risk of dementia and measures to prevent it. She will delve into topics such as nutrition, exercise, mental activity, and social contacts, providing concrete tips for maintaining mental health.

Myllymäki will also share lifestyle changes recommended to reduce the risk of dementia, such as regular physical activity, a healthy diet, cognitive training, and social engagement. In addition, she will discuss current research findings about dementia, offering insights into the latest developments in the field.

The lecture, which is approximately an hour long, is free of charge and does not require registration. Attendees are welcome to ask questions after the lecture, making it an interactive and engaging experience.

For those interested in a more comprehensive course on dementia prevention, an interactive course is offered at the Salt Castle on Tuesday from 10 AM to 4 PM and on Wednesday from 10 AM to 12 PM.

The Salt Castle, a popular event venue in Germany, will be the location for this insightful lecture. With approximately 1.8 million people affected by dementia in the country, this event aims to provide valuable information and resources for those concerned about memory loss and dementia prevention.
