Street Festival in Waldershof featuring Dutch Cuisine, Steckerlfish, and Zoigl Beer
Prepare your taste buds for an exciting day as the 23rd Waldershof Gourmet Mile takes place on Saturday, September 2nd. This year, the closed market in Waldershof will be transformed into "Gourmetville," offering a diverse culinary selection from 19 providers.
The event kicks off early with breakfast at 10 am in the courtyard of the Old Town Hall, provided by the Kolping Family Waldershof. From midday, the official start of the Gourmet Mile begins, featuring a dedicated sales booth with special food and drinks set up by the Restaurant "Zur Goldenen Krone."
For those seeking a taste of local flavour, SV Poppenreuth will offer Poppenreuther beer with meat and the Popp-Burger. TSV Waldershof will serve classic mushroom soup with Dotsch and Dorschenkraut with meat. Other providers offer a variety of dishes, including ox semmel, pulled pork burgers, grilled fish, pizza and pasta dishes, Goettinger taler, chili con carne, Zoigl skewers, baked potato skins, and shashlik pan.
Little and big sweet tooths can enjoy macaroons, almonds, popcorn, cotton candy, and ice cream. A "Delight Box" offers an additional culinary highlight. For those with a sweet tooth, the Cultural Tourism Association at the New Town Hall offers a variety of cakes and tarts, and a place to relax during the market.
As the sun sets, entertainment takes centre stage. From 6 pm, "Katie - finest Pubmusic" will provide musical entertainment on the stage at the market entrance by the New Town Hall. In the evening, a DJ and a cocktail bar will keep the party going.
The market from the New Town Hall to the Walbenreuther Street will be closed to all traffic on that day. For those with children, a bouncy castle is available for fun and enjoyment at the Gourmet Mile.
While the culinary delights take centre stage in Waldershof, there's news from other parts of the region.
