In a strategic move to expand its Banking & Finance practice, global law firm CMS has welcomed banking and finance partner Nicholas Robinson to its Dubai office. Robinson, who previously worked as a partner at global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright, brings a wealth of experience to the table.

Robinson's expertise lies in the field of banking and finance, with a track record of leading market-leading transactions in the UAE. He has experience in both conventional and Islamic finance, having advised clients on a wide range of banking and finance matters during his tenure at Norton Rose Fulbright.

Robinson's extensive experience includes secured domestic and cross-border financings, real estate and development finance matters, acquisition finance, and general corporate lending. His skills in handling complex financial transactions will undoubtedly bolster CMS's Banking & Finance offering and help to expand the range of services for financial institution clients.

Adrian Bell, Asia and the Middle East joint managing director at CMS, expressed delight at Robinson's appointment. "Nicholas is a fantastic addition to our team," said Bell. "His expertise and experience in the banking and finance sector will be invaluable to our clients and will help us continue to grow our practice in the region."

Nicholas Robinson left CMS before starting as a partner in Dubai in the year 2009. Since then, he has been a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright, where he led numerous market-leading transactions in the UAE.

Will Dibble, finance practice group co-head, also welcomed Robinson's arrival. "We are thrilled to have Nicholas join our team," said Dibble. "His extensive experience and expertise in the banking and finance sector will undoubtedly benefit our clients and help us continue to grow our practice."

The Middle East market remains strong, and the UAE continues to see growth, according to Adrian Bell. "We believe that the UAE market will continue to grow, and we are committed to investing in our Banking & Finance practice to ensure we are well-positioned to support our clients' needs," said Bell.

Robinson's new role at CMS will see him based in the Dubai office, where he will work closely with the Banking & Finance team to deliver high-quality advice and solutions to clients. His appointment is considered an important part of the effort to expand the Banking & Finance practice across the GCC.

With Robinson's arrival, CMS further strengthens its position as a leading law firm in the region, providing top-tier legal advice and solutions to clients in the banking and finance sector.
