Strictly competition favourites shift with Stefan Dennis taking the lead as a surprising top contender surfaces

Strictly Come Dancing 2025 is set to return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this month, with a star-studded lineup of celebrities ready to take to the dance floor. The popular dance competition will once again be hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, while Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton du Beke return as judges.

This year's contestants include Lewis Cope, a former Emmerdale actor, who is currently the favourite to win with odds of 7/2. Cope replaces Kristian Nairn, who has had to withdraw due to unforeseen medical reasons. Another familiar face on the dance floor will be Stefan Dennis, the Neighbours legend, who is given long odds of 50-1 to win.

Many Neighbours fans are expected to show their support for Dennis, but Oddschecker predicts that he could be one of the first contestants to leave Strictly Come Dancing 2025, based on speculation. Other notable contestants include Dani Dyer, who has odds of 5/1 to win, and Chris McCausland, the winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2024 with dance partner Dianne Buswell.

Joining the competition for the first time are Ellie Goldstein, Karen Carney, Alex Kingston, George Clarke, Chris Robshaw, Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Vicky Pattinson, Balvinder Sopal, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Le Voix, and Ross King. However, there are no available search results naming the professional dancers who will be new members on Strictly Come Dancing 2025.

Two new professional dancers will join the show when it returns, adding to the already talented lineup. The odds for Lewis Cope to win Strictly Come Dancing 2025 are not provided, but he is currently the favourite. The odds for the other contestants, apart from those mentioned earlier, are not available.

Ross King is predicted to be the first elimination in Strictly Come Dancing 2025 with odds of 80/1. The competition is expected to be fierce, with many talented celebrities vying for the coveted Glitterball Trophy. Tune in to BBC One and BBC iPlayer in September 2025 to see who will be crowned the winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2025.
