Struggling family enterprise lets go of all its workforce due to bankruptcy

The Fohr Event Hangar, located in the Ravensburger industrial area Erlen, has announced its closure due to financial difficulties. The insolvency administrator has confirmed that the business is not economically viable under the current conditions.

The Fohr Event Hangar has been in operation since May 2014 and employs ten people. It houses internal operations such as ICE Cubes Ravensburg and Equipment Verleih RV, and offers catering services for events. The company also operates a separate entity, Fohr Catering, which will continue its operations independently.

The main issue leading to the insolvency was the declining turnover at the Fohr Event Hangar. In recent months, costs significantly increased for personnel, raw materials, and energy, putting a strain on the business's finances. To protect customers from potential financial losses, the company had stopped accepting new event orders.

Despite the insolvency, the Fohr family has pledged to assist employees in finding new jobs with other companies. The salaries of the Fohr Event Hangar employees are secured until the end of October through insolvency benefits.

The Fohr Event Hangar property is a separate entity from the insolvent business and is registered under the name "Event-Hangar Ravensburg KG." The Fohr family established a limited partnership (GBR) for the Fohr Event Hangar, which includes parking and maintenance spaces for the company's own fleet, and approximately 1,000 pallet spaces.

The Fohr Event Hangar group also includes Fohr Genussmanufaktur, a company that produces sauces, pestos, and spices in glass jars. The insolvency administrator must now sell the products from Fohr Genussmanufaktur.

The Fohr Event Hangar is a registered partner for disaster relief in the Lake Constance-Oberschwaben region. The manufactory's operations will continue until October, but production will not resume after that.

As the Fohr Event Hangar ceases operations, the community will undoubtedly feel the impact. However, the Fohr family's commitment to assisting employees in finding new jobs offers a glimmer of hope for those affected by the insolvency.
