In the picturesque village of Pentz, located in Germany, a unique renovation project is underway. Gut Fellerson, a non-profit association established during the Covid-19 pandemic, is transforming an old farmhouse into a creative space for villagers and visitors alike.

The association, which has been committed to village life in Pentz since 2021, has received support from the International Build Order, an organisation that organises building camps for young adults and supports non-profit organisations. This collaboration is making a significant impact on the progress of the project.

The renovation is being spearheaded by a team of international students, including Annika Rehling from Alameda, California, who is a civil engineering student, and Johanna Diehl from Darmstadt, an architecture student. Abha Alharathy, an architecture student from Oman living in Gießen, is also contributing to the project. Five students from various parts of the world are currently helping Gut Fellerson expand its course rooms in Pentz as part of the International Build Order's project.

Locals are also playing a crucial role in the renovation work. Gerd Feller, Sven Heiden, and Betty Köckeritz are among the villagers who are lending a hand, with Köckeritz even cooking for the international guests. The villagers' involvement underscores the community spirit that Gut Fellerson aims to foster.

The renovation project is being funded by the non-profit organisation "Die Anstiftung", which has provided grant funds for necessary building materials and tools. The organisation's support is instrumental in bringing this vision to life.

The transformation of the farmhouse is set to culminate with the opening of the first Pentz art workshop, scheduled for Wednesday, September 17. Inga and Gerd Feller are preparing for this momentous occasion.

Gut Fellerson's mission is to bring people in the village of Pentz together and provide them opportunities to express their creativity through various handicrafts. The renovation project is a testament to this mission, as it will serve as a new cultural location for the village.

The workshops at Gut Fellerson are currently held once a month at the Pentz manor house. With the completion of the renovation project, these workshops will find a permanent home in the heart of the village.

As the renovation project progresses, the international students and local villagers continue to work together, fostering a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose. This collaborative effort is a shining example of how communities can come together to create something truly special.
