Sunday (August 31) saw a Krad-control day take place at the Oberbergische Kreis district police headquarters

The Oberbergischer Kreis police department recently conducted a speed control operation, aiming to ensure road safety and adherence to traffic laws. Officers from the traffic accident prevention unit engaged with motorcyclists during the operation, discussing the dangers of popular motorcycle routes and the importance of responsible riding.

Despite the low number of motorcyclists on the road due to the weather conditions, two motorcyclists were detected speeding. However, neither of them were fined, as their speeds fell within the fine range. In total, 230 speeding violations were detected during the operation, with 124 of these resulting in fines.

Interestingly, the highest speeding violation, at 66 km/h, was recorded with a driver from Gummersbach. This incident highlights the need for caution, especially on roads with speed limits, as five of the detected speeding violations occurred in such areas.

The Oberbergischer Kreis Police Department takes road safety seriously and encourages all drivers to adhere to the speed limits and drive responsibly. The authority responsible for traffic monitoring services in Oberbergischer Kreis is the Kreisordnungsamt Bußgeldstelle, located at Moltkestraße 42, 51643 Gummersbach.

It's worth noting that no new information about discussions on popular motorcycle routes or the dangers of speeding in areas with speed limits was provided in the current operation. Similarly, no additional administrative offense procedures were initiated for motorcyclists, and no new speeding violations involving motorcyclists were reported.

The Oberbergischer Kreis Police Department is committed to maintaining a safe and peaceful environment for all road users. As we move forward, we encourage everyone to drive responsibly, adhere to speed limits, and prioritise safety on our roads.
