In a significant development, the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) has charged a 34-year-old man named David Lewis with carjacking and violating his parole. The alleged incident took place on Monday, Aug. 25, in the Groveton neighbourhood of Fairfax County.

According to law enforcement authorities and relevant investigative personnel, the incident occurred in the 3300 block of Lockheed Boulevard. The victim was a delivery driver, and the carjacking involved his vehicle.

The breakthrough in the case came on a routine traffic stop in the City of Alexandria, where Virginia State Police arrested David Lewis. The vehicle, which had been missing since the carjacking, was later located by the Virginia State Police.

David Lewis has been remanded to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond. No bond has been set for him at this time.
