Suspect Nabbed at Station: BPOL-FL Reports Arrest of Alleged Drug Dealer
In a significant development, a 26-year-old Algerian was arrested by the federal police in Neumünster on Saturday evening. The man, who has been involved in several drug cases since 2022, was found to have two warrants during identity checks by the public prosecutor's office.
The arrest came after a train conductor contacted the federal police about two passengers causing trouble on the RE 11182 from Hamburg to Flensburg. An argument between the man and the train conductor led to the man being checked by federal police officers at Neumünster.
During the search, larger quantities of various drugs were found, leading to another criminal proceeding for the Algerian. The specific drugs seized were not specified. The man was brought before a judge and taken to a remand prison.
The federal police officers were waiting on track 3 for the passengers, and the 26-year-old Algerian was the focus of a search by a public prosecutor's office with an arrest warrant. An arrest warrant was issued for the Algerian due to the risk of flight.
The Algerian has a history of drug-related offences, with a main trial scheduled for him in the near future. Both passengers on the train were wanted by the police, and a 38-year-old man was able to leave after his address was recorded.
