Two Separate Fire Incidents Suspected to be Arson in Berlin

Two fire incidents occurred in Berlin on Thursday, 18th April, with both suspected to be acts of arson.

The first incident took place in the early hours of the day on Reichenberger Strasse in Kreuzberg, where a car was found engulfed in flames. Witnesses discovered the burning vehicle in the morning, and emergency services were promptly called to the scene. The exact time of the incident remains unspecified.

In a separate incident, a fire broke out on Hadubrandstrasse in Biesdorf, Marzahn, involving a van and a car. A third vehicle parked nearby was also damaged in the incident. No further details about the vehicles involved have been released.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either of the fire incidents. The exact extent of property damage in the fires on Hadubrandstrasse is still unknown.

Investigations are ongoing for both fire incidents in Marzahn and Kreuzberg. The cause of the fire in the car on Reichenberger Strasse is under investigation, while the cause of the fire on Hadubrandstrasse has yet to be confirmed.

In a recent development, it has been alleged that the car fire incidents in Reichenberger Strasse in Kreuzberg and Hadubrandstrasse in Biesdorf were carried out by left-wing extremist groups. The acts likely took place during the night of August 25 to 26, 2023, although the exact time of the fire incident on Hadubrandstrasse has not been specified.
