Suspects apprehended for auto burglary in Troieich

In the early morning hours of Sunday, police officers from the Southeast Hessian Police Directorate in Darmstadt, in cooperation with the Customs Investigation Office Frankfurt and the Federal Criminal Police Office (Bundeskriminalamt), arrested two suspected car thieves.

The suspects, aged 25 and 43, were located in Breslauer Straße and near a school. The 25-year-old suspect was found with a stolen tool bag, and he also had a second tool bag, the origin of which is unclear.

The 43-year-old suspect had several outstanding arrest warrants and was immediately transferred to a detention facility. The 25-year-old suspect was remanded in custody due to a risk of flight, after being brought before the examining magistrate on Monday. His counterpart was also remanded in custody.

The incident involved a white Peugeot van, and the suspects were accused of breaking the passenger window and searching its interior. However, no information was provided about the outcome of the investigation or the status of the white Peugeot van.

The Police did not provide details about any further investigations or charges beyond the initial accusations mentioned earlier. The 43-year-old suspect's current location remains in a detention facility.
