Suspects Apprehended: Victims Seek Aid - Cries for Help Heard Loud and Clear
In an unexpected turn of events, an investigation was opened for attempted dangerous bodily harm and threats against a German national, following an incident that occurred in the green area of Dessau's main station on August 29, 2025, at 6:45 PM.
According to reports, a 37-year-old male suspect approached a 20-year-old German woman and a 23-year-old Syrian man in the said location. The suspect was armed with a hacksaw and made threatening gestures towards the two individuals.
Fortunately, both victims were able to flee towards the main station and sought help from a nearby federal police patrol. The officers quickly intervened, subduing the suspect with the threat of pepper spray and arresting him. The hacksaw used by the suspect was secured as evidence.
The suspect was then taken to the nearby federal police station for further questioning. Preliminary tests conducted on the suspect revealed a breathalyzer test reading of 1.28%, but no drug test results were released. However, a subsequent drug test came back negative.
