Advantage Lies in Being Swift
Advantage Lies in Being Swift

Swift action carries its worth.

In an exciting initiative, the city of Gütersloh is offering 50 fruit trees at a discounted price of 20 euros each, as part of an effort to promote local biodiversity and green spaces.

The offer includes a variety of trees, with 6 apple trees, 2 pear trees, 1 plum tree, 1 walnut tree, and 1 chestnut tree up for grabs. These trees will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and applicants are encouraged to indicate a second choice when ordering.

To secure a tree, interested individuals can place their orders immediately through the application form available online at www.nature.ourWebsite. After submitting the application, applicants will receive an invoice for their share.

Each participant will be assigned an individual pickup time slot, and the distribution of the fruit trees will take place on Saturday, 22. November, at Westring 119. On the day, the trees will be professionally pruned on-site, and new owners will receive a planting kit including a stake, coconut string, and planting instructions.

For those with questions about the offer, Carsten Tannhäuser, the head of the environmental department of Gütersloh, can be contacted at 05241 / 82-2084 or via email at environment@ourWebsite. The Society for Nature and Environmental Protection in the Gütersloh District e.V. (GNU) will also be present, offering tips on natural garden design for more biodiversity.

It's important to note that the varieties of trees are limited, and late payment may result in the next person on the waiting list receiving the tree. Only those who pay on time will receive a tree.

So, if you've been thinking about adding a fruit tree to your garden, now is the perfect time to act! Take advantage of this wonderful opportunity and help contribute to a greener, more biodiverse Gütersloh.
