The Bathing Operations Company Bergisch Gladbach GmbH has announced several measures to address the shortage of qualified personnel in bathing operations, while maintaining a safe and smooth pool operation.

Despite the challenges posed by personnel shortages, particularly in pool supervision, during the 2025 season, Manfred Habrunner, Managing Director of the Bathing Operations Company, assured that the dedicated team managed to maintain a safe and smooth pool operation.

In an effort to counteract the personnel shortage, the company is focusing on targeted youth promotion, internal qualification measures, and cooperations. These initiatives aim to foster the growth of a skilled workforce in the long term.

Habrunner also emphasized the importance of strengthening the training and recruitment of specialists in bathing operations. He believes that these steps are crucial for the continued success and smooth operation of the pools.

The Paffrath combination pool, a popular destination for bathers, is set to offer extended opening hours starting from September 1, 2025. Both the indoor and outdoor areas will be open from 6:15 AM to 9:00 PM on Thursdays. Swimming under the open sky remains possible in the Paffrath combination pool.

On Tuesdays, the outdoor area with the heated 50m outdoor pool will also be open from 6:15 AM to 9:00 PM.

The digital ticketing system, introduced this year, was well-received by visitors. Approximately 70,000 bathers visited the outdoor pool during the 2025 season, which ended on August 31, 2025.
