Volksbank im Bergisches Land has welcomed twelve new apprentices who will embark on a 2.5-year journey to become bank clerks. The new recruits, including Barwina Barkho, Amelie and Jil Bönisch, Melanie Bosnic, Larisa Dabinovci, Thilo Jensen-Kusk, Max Krüger, Lukas Lüscher, Sam Lyttek, Celina Schlimbach, Lydija Thiele, and Tim Ulatowski, will be deployed in one of the 20 Volksbank branches.

During a welcoming ceremony, the CEO, Andreas Otto, expressed his hope that the apprentices would find their experience challenging but rewarding. Christian Fried, a member of the board, even expressed his hope that one of the new apprentices might eventually become the CEO.

Maximilian Bujak, the coordinator of the training program for the coming year, will oversee the apprentices' progress. The new employees will work in various branches and specialist departments throughout their apprenticeship, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the banking industry.

Interested parties can find all information on the Volksbank im Bergisches Land apprenticeship programme on their website at www.bergische-volksbank.de/ausbildung.

The new apprentices were told they are part of a great team from the start. Board members encouraged them to develop their skills and careers at Volksbank im Bergisch Land, with opportunities even after their apprenticeship.

Two former apprentices, Christian Fried and Henning Wichart, were present to relate to the new employees as they went through the same apprenticeship program. They emphasised the personal connections and shorter paths at a regional bank like Volksbank im Bergisches Land. Henning Wichart highlighted that at a regional bank, the connection to the people in the region and to colleagues is more personal.

Applications for new apprenticeship positions at Volksbank im Bergisches Land for next year are already possible. During the welcoming ceremony, the board members took time to answer questions from the new apprentices and shared personal insights into their own career paths, tasks, and views.
