Tech Giant Accenture Set to Acquire Cybersecurity Firm CyberCX

In a significant move, global professional services company Accenture has agreed to acquire CyberCX, marking its largest cybersecurity acquisition to date. The acquisition is expected to bolster Accenture's cybersecurity services in the Asia Pacific region.

CyberCX, a leading provider of cybersecurity services, operates a network of security operations centers across Australia, New Zealand, London, and New York. The company has established strong ecosystem partnerships with major cybersecurity players such as Microsoft, Palo Alto Networks, and CrowdStrike.

John Paitaridis, CEO of CyberCX, expressed pride in the company's growth, stating, "We have become one of the leading providers of cybersecurity services in the region." CyberCX boasts extensive expertise, demonstrated by over 2,600 certifications. The company has consistently won awards as one of the top managed service and system integrators in the region.

CyberCX offers AI-powered platforms for cybersecurity services including detection and response, sovereign secure cloud, training and learning, security testing, and cyber intelligence. The combination of Accenture's agentic AI capabilities and CyberCX's strong market leadership and innovative offerings is expected to enhance the cybersecurity services provided by Accenture.

Peter Burns, leading Accenture's business in Australia and New Zealand, stated that client demand for cybersecurity services is accelerating due to the increasing connection of data and digital environments and the exposure of heightened threats across operational value chains, supply chains, and the enterprise.

Paolo Dal Cin, global lead of Accenture Cybersecurity, stated that the acquisition will help clients in the Asia Pacific region transform cybersecurity into a strategic advantage. By joining Accenture's global cybersecurity organization, CyberCX's exceptional talent in the region will combine forces with global capabilities, providing world-leading cybersecurity services to an even greater number of clients across Asia Pacific as they accelerate their growth in the region.

The terms of the transaction between Accenture and CyberCX were not disclosed. The completion of the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including receipt of regulatory approvals.

The need for responsible governance is also rising as AI and Quantum technologies advance. The acquisition of CyberCX is expected to help clients navigate these evolving threats and securely navigate change, accelerate business reinvention, and build resilience against threats.
