Teen Suspect Brandishing Imitation Firearm Apprehended by Police Post-Chelsea vs Fulham Match
In the bustling Fulham Broadway area of London, a 16-year-old was detained on suspicion of carrying an imitation firearm following an incident near a major transport hub. The arrest occurred shortly after Chelsea beat Fulham 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The suspect was dressed in black tactical clothing, wearing a ballistic helmet, and carrying imitation firearms painted black. This led to the dispatch of armed officers to deal with the incident, and unarmed officers who were already on duty for the match also responded due to the potential risk.
A pistol was pulled from the suspect's hip by an officer, and the teenager was subsequently tackled to the ground by officers. The Metropolitan Police have since released bodycam footage of the incident.
