Telstra's Broadcast Services has appointed Karen Clark to lead the organization as its new CEO.
Telstra Broadcast Services (TBS), a division of Telstra, has announced Karen Clark as its new CEO. Clark, who previously served as the chief revenue officer at TBS, is taking over from Andreas Eriksson and expresses her desire to build on TBS's achievements and set it up for future success.
Clark has led pre-sales, sales, and marketing teams across all regions at TBS. She has been instrumental in forming strong partnerships, most recently with BT Media & Broadcast, which has allowed TBS to address the industry's most complex challenges.
Telstra stated that Clark plans to advance TBS's global agenda. Her priorities include continuing the legacy of her predecessor, Andreas Eriksson, and leading TBS to global success, as she has already done in the past. Clark believes that diverse perspectives are essential for TBS's success and is committed to fostering diversity and inclusion.
Clark has more than 25 years of experience in the media, telecommunications, and technology industry. She is involved with Rise, SVGW Women in Sports Production, the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), and IBC councils.
Clark aims to showcase TBS's value through a steadfast commitment to customers. TBS's focus remains on delivering innovative, fit-for-purpose managed services and solutions that meet customers' evolving needs. Clark intends to launch market-ready 5G media solutions and sustain significant growth.
The demand for high-performance media solutions continues to develop, according to Clark. She is excited to build on the strong foundation established by TBS over the past five years and to lead the company into a new era of growth and success.
Despite the lack of information about Clark's previous positions within Telstra Broadcast Services before becoming CEO, it is clear that she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her new role. Telstra stated that Clark's extensive experience in strategic alliances and M&A will be invaluable in advancing TBS's global agenda.
Clark has expressed her desire to set TBS up for future success and to continue the legacy of her predecessor, Andreas Eriksson. With her commitment to customers, focus on innovation, and passion for diversity and inclusion, Clark is poised to lead TBS to new heights.
