Ross Hutchins Appointed as New ITF CEO

Ross Hutchins, a former member of Great Britain's Davis Cup team and a representative of Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics, has been appointed as the new CEO of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). The announcement was made following the departure of Kelly Fairweather, who served the ITF for nine years.

Hutchins, aged 40, expressed his excitement about the breadth of work the ITF undertakes and its goal to drive tennis forward. He will replace Jonny Gray and is expected to start his new role at the end of October 2025.

The ITF, known for organizing the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup, has built strong momentum in digital innovation, restructuring of tours, introduction of a balanced calendar, and the growth of wheelchair tennis. Hutchins, currently the chief sporting officer at the ATP, looks forward to working with the president, board, tennis family, partners, and member nations to ensure the sport continues to thrive.

David Haggerty, the ITF President, expressed delight at welcoming Ross Hutchins as the new CEO of the ITF. He believes Hutchins brings the leadership, vision, and experience needed to deliver on the ITF's mission for the benefit of players, fans, and nations around the world. Haggerty also emphasized the ITF's unique responsibility to protect and grow tennis worldwide, at every level.

Hutchins' tennis career includes winning silver in doubles at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in 2010. Since retiring from tennis, he has held multiple executive roles with the ATP Tour. He stated that he wants the sport to remain a game for life that all fans can enjoy.

Hutchins will succeed Kelly Fairweather, who announced his departure, and will replace Jonny Gray as the new ITF Chief Executive Officer. David Haggerty is confident that Hutchins will lead the ITF towards a bright future, driving tennis forward and ensuring its growth and protection at every level.
