Tesla Announces Seven-Seater Model Y Available for Order in Europe
Tesla has made a significant announcement for European customers, as the seven-seater version of the Model Y is now orderable. The new model, available through Tesla's online configurator, can be accessed from any European city where Tesla operates, including major cities like Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam, and more.
The seven-seat Model Y Long Range All-Wheel Drive (LR AWD) is expected to start deliveries in the fourth quarter of this year. As of Tuesday, no units of this model were visible in the German inventory.
The additional cost for the seven-seat feature remains €2,500 in both black and white interior versions. The white interior costs an additional €1,200. Choosing the seven-seat option does not affect the availability of 0% interest loans.
Interestingly, anyone ordering any Model Y can save €1,000 using a referral code. The Model Y LR AWD, like other versions, is produced at the German Gigafactory, where the new seven-seater will also be produced.
The price for the LR AWD Model Y with seven seats is €57,490 (€6,000 discounted from the original price of €63,490), thanks to a €6,000 discount Tesla has been offering on all pre-produced Model Ys since June. However, this discount cannot be combined with the seven-seat option.
Tesla has clarified that the seven-seat option is initially available only for the LR AWD version. As of Tuesday morning, the German info pages did not yet advertise the option to order a seven-seat Model Y, but the configurator on Tesla's German info pages does display the new option for both black and partially white interior versions.
In conclusion, the seven-seater Model Y LR AWD is now available for order in Europe, providing more seating options for customers looking for a versatile electric vehicle. Deliveries are expected in the fourth quarter, and the model remains eligible for 0% interest loans.
