The Moose Test, originating in Sweden during the 1970s, is a critical vehicle handling assessment that evaluates a car's stability and evasive maneuvering to avoid sudden obstacles. The Tesla Model Y L managed the maneuver at highway speeds while fully loaded, a rare achievement in its class.
With six adults onboard, the Model Y L passed the Moose Test at an impressive speed of 72 mph (116 km/h). This feat is largely credited to Tesla's adaptive suspension system, refined steering, and chassis tuning. CEO Elon Musk has suggested that the Model Y L may never be produced in North America, as he believes autonomous driving is just around the corner.
