World Poker Tour Debuts in Texas with Prime Championship at The Lodge

The World Poker Tour (WPT) is set to make its Texas debut with the WPT Prime Championship, taking place at The Lodge from September 28 to October 13, 2025. The main Championship event will be held from October 9 to 13, 2025.

The Lodge, the largest poker room in Central Texas, has undergone a change of ownership in 2022, with Doug Polk, Brad Owen, and Andrew Neeme taking over. Recently, Nikhil "Nik Airball" Arcot and Ethan "Rampage" Yau have also joined as investors. The venue now boasts over 60 tables and full live stream support.

The WPT Prime Championship carries significant importance, as it awards points towards the WPT Player of the Year leaderboard and qualifies one player for the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas. The buy-in for the Prime Championship is $1,100, with a minimum $1 million prize pool.

The festival schedule is packed with a variety of events, including Day 1 flights for the $600 Quarter Million, a $100-$500 Meet-Up Game, Texas Ladies Championship, "Half Milly" ($400 tournament with a $500,000 guarantee), $300 WPT Warm-Up, $200 Big-O Championship, $300 Texas Seniors Championship, $400 PLO event, and more.

In addition to the main event, there are multiple opportunities to qualify for the Prime Championship for just $20-$30, with satellites available throughout the festival.
