The Baroque manufacturing site invites everyone to attend the grand summer celebration event
The cultural heart of Aachen, Barockfabrik, will be hosting the much-anticipated Summer Festival on Saturday, September 20, 2025. This free event, open to all, will take place at Lohergraben 22, rain or shine.
The festival will commence at 3 PM and promises a delightful blend of literature, dance, music, and local products. The VERS - Literature Café, located within the Barockfabrik, will provide food and beverages throughout the day.
One of the highlights of the festival will be the "DANCE + POETRY" event, hosted by ARTbewegt e.V., the Literature Office in the Euregio Maas-Rhein e.V., and EuregioKultur e.V. This unique event will feature a combination of reading passages and improvisation dance.
DJ Chris will provide music for the festival starting at 6 PM, adding to the festive atmosphere. Market stalls will be set up by vhs Aachen, the Literature Office EMR, and the Theater School Aachen, offering various products for purchase.
Visitors can also take a behind-the-scenes tour of the city puppet theater Oecher Schaengchen, one of the many associations and institutions that call Barockfabrik home. The Theater School Aachen e.V. will also offer a taster course in "Acting-Improvisation" during the festival.
