The Community Education Institute of Malilla (CEIP) is set to merge with El Fernando de los Ríos, with the integrated facility set to open by the first quarter of 2026.

The city of Valencia is witnessing significant progress in its education infrastructure, with two major projects set to transform the landscape of education.

Last year, the Carles Salvador project commenced, and this week, the city council's Government Board will address the proposal for the tendering of the works of the Santo Ángel de la Guardia. The CEIP 106 of Malilla, a large center, has been an "authentic marvel" that has been difficult to advance in construction. But, thanks to the efforts of the current governing team, all works under the Edificant plan have been unlocked.

The CEIP 106 of Malilla is set to receive a series of innovative features aimed at enhancing learning environments and energy efficiency. The centre will boast a system of awnings to provide shade and protection against rain and wind, a cooling and air conditioning system to reduce climatic stress, structures that will provide light but protect from the sun, and photovoltaic installations. The high energy rating, the highest within the A category, that the 106 Malilla will have, is a testament to these efforts.

The Edificant plan has seen a significant increase, reaching 70 million euros. The mayor emphasized the work done to "unblock the Edificant plan", highlighting the city's commitment to providing quality education facilities.

Meanwhile, the Santo Ángel de la Guardia will be built within the urbanization project of the Parque Central de Ingenieros, in the neighborhood of La Raiosa. With a surface area of 12,000 square meters, and 6,600 square meters built, the school will include a program of 12 units of Early Childhood Education (3 First Cycle and 9 Second Cycle), 18 units of Primary Education, Valencian ball games, and a dining room for 300 students in two shifts.

The Generalitat is making a "great economic effort" to move the construction forward as soon as possible. However, it's important to note that in many centres under construction, there is an increase in both labor and material costs. Despite these challenges, the minister stated that due to these increases, they are always supplementing and modifying budgets to ensure the projects continue.

While the name of the leader of the management team at the Fernando de los Ríos School managed by the city administration in Valencia remains undisclosed, the progress being made on these projects is undeniable. The city council's continued focus on education infrastructure is a positive step towards creating a better future for Valencia's students.
