The Pickle Pad Expands into Multi-Experience Entertainment Destinations

The Pickle Pad, a pickleball venue owned by NRD Capital-backed Indoor Active Brands, is expanding its horizons. The company is transforming into multi-experience entertainment destinations, with seven new projects currently in development.

In Hoover, Alabama, The Pickle Pad will debut alongside Crave Social Eatery and Altitude Trampoline Park. Similarly, in Port Arthur, Texas, The Pickle Pad will anchor a multi-experience development that includes Birdie ParTee, Crave Social Eatery, and Altitude Trampoline Park. The Pickle Pad will also open alongside Birdie ParTee and Crave Social Eatery in Oak Ridge, New Jersey.

Three new locations of The Pickle Pad are slated to open in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, St. George, Utah, and Newport News, Virginia in the fourth quarter. The partners ready for these openings are Topgolf Entertainment Group for Myrtle Beach, the St. George City government for St. George, and the Newport News Economic Development Authority for Newport News. The Pickle Pad is also preparing to open in Tampa, building on its first location in Tallahassee, which opened last summer.

Each new The Pickle Pad location will be part of an entertainment mix that includes pickleball, dining, and social experiences. The venues will feature professional-grade Cushion X courts for pickleball, allowing players to enjoy competitive games. Guests can also try the company's PIQLZ simulator, take lessons with certified pickleball pros, or sign up for league play.

Ace Pickleball Club, a subsidiary of The Pickle Pad, has partnered with DoorDash in a multi-year deal. This partnership makes DoorDash the official on-demand platform for Ace Pickleball Club's clubs. Each location of Ace Pickleball Club will feature a designated DoorDash Delivery Zone, allowing members to receive groceries, sporting equipment, and even supplements between matches.

DoorDash will also sponsor the Ace Pickleball Club Championship Series, which carries a $250,000 prize pool. This series is expected to attract top pickleball players from around the world.

Meanwhile, Chicken N Pickle, an indoor and outdoor venue, has expanded to 13 locations nationwide. The company is shifting its focus toward acquiring complementary entertainment and hospitality concepts, as well as exploring city partnerships to build public pickleball court facilities.

In the Caribbean, Aurora Anguilla Resort & Golf Club, the largest pickleball resort in the region, has launched a slate of themed clinics and retreats. These include "Pickle Palooza" and pickleball-and-yoga weekends, beginning this fall.

The timing of the openings for these new locations has not been announced, but The Pickle Pad said the timing will position the venues to capitalise on holiday demand for group and family activities.

As The Pickle Pad expands, it continues to revolutionise the pickleball industry, offering a unique blend of entertainment, dining, and social experiences.
