The music school's blues and big bands will be performing "Blues'n'Jazz" on June 29th, 2025!
Get ready, music enthusiasts! A thrilling double concert titled "Blues'n'Jazz" is set to take place on Sunday, June 29, 2025, at 7:00 PM, in the foyer of the Music School our city e.V., located at Friedrich-Ebert-Allee 12.
The event will feature two bands, promising an evening of diverse and captivating music. The Blues Band "BBB" will be leading the blues charge, under the direction of Niels Templin. This talented ensemble includes Steffen Moddrow (coaching, percussion), Sven Krug (double bass and co-lead), Alexander Thon (drums), Klaus Beinroth (tenor saxophone), Wolfgang Kaivers (piano), Sybille Styllos (alto saxophone), and Per Frankman (baritone saxophone and vocals). The band focuses on the blues style of the late 1950s, promising a nostalgic and energetic performance.
Sharing the stage will be The Big Band, a long-standing member of our city and the Music School our city e.V. This talented group will showcase compositions and arrangements by American musician and big band specialist Maria Schneider. The Big Band has previously impressed at the New Year's reception of the city of our city in January of 2025, in the city hall.
The double concert marks the finale of a rehearsal weekend for The Big Band at the Music School our city e.V. It's a chance for music lovers to witness the culmination of their hard work and dedication.
