"The nation's progress is being propelled significantly by digital advancements"
In the heart of Southeast Asia, Vietnam is embracing a profound digital transformation, reshaping social and economic life in various aspects. From e-commerce and finance to education and healthcare, the nation is experiencing remarkable growth in digital technology across all sectors.
The Ministry of Public Security is leading the charge, working to provide innovative conveniences in administrative procedures for citizens and businesses as part of the national digital transformation. This push towards a more digitised future is not limited to the capital, Ha Noi, or the bustling Ho Chi Minh City, but is a nationwide effort to build an efficient e-government system, establish a globally competitive digital economy, and foster a comprehensive digital society.
In Ho Chi Minh City, students at the University of Industry are studying and conducting research in the robotics laboratory. The city, known for its rapid pace and vibrant energy, is also home to many residents who use cell phones to scan QR codes to make payments, and the online market model, Market 4.0, is becoming increasingly popular.
Vietnam's digital transformation is also making strides in the manufacturing sector. Companies like Truong Haai Corporation have invested in an automatic car body welding line with the latest generation robotic system, capable of rotating at all angles to meet welding technology requirements. The body positioning robot in the car body welding line ensures welds are strong, stable, and highly precise.
The healthcare sector is also benefiting from this digital push. The Taam Anh High-Tech Eye Centre, for instance, has invested in two Visumax 800 machines for SMILE Pro surgery, providing an excellent experience for customers undergoing refractive error surgeries.
Moreover, the launch of the DeepClinics dermatology diagnostic application in Vietnam utilises artificial intelligence and machine learning technology for skin health examinations and disease prevention.
In the agricultural sector, drone demonstrations for spraying pesticides and fertilisers are introduced at the Agritechnica Asia Live 2022 event in Ca Tho. This innovation aims to increase efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of farming practices.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinch visited an exhibition of digital transformation products and services in banking activities in Ha Noi on May 29, further demonstrating the government's commitment to this digital transformation.
As Vietnam strives to join the ranks of digitally advanced nations and integrate more deeply into the global economy, the future looks bright for this dynamic country. However, specific details about the winners of the "Make on our website 2024" Digital Technology Product Prize at the 6th National Forum for the Development of Vietnamese Digital Technology Companies in 2024 were not available at the time of this report.
