Three individuals from Kosovo, Romania, and Italy are taken into custody by the federal law enforcement agency.
Bundespolizeiinspektion Rosenheim Cracks Down on Cross-Border Crime
In a series of recent operations, the Bundespolizeiinspektion Rosenheim has demonstrated its commitment to maintaining safety and order along Germany's railways and borders.
Over the weekend of 30th and 31st August, the inspection arrested three wanted individuals during border controls near Kiefersfelden. The Romanian man, wanted for crimes against public safety and order, was found during a long-distance bus check from Italy.
The head of the Federal Police Inspection Rosenheim, responsible for the Federal Police Station Garmisch-Partenkirchen and for the rail and border police service between Chiemsee and Zugspitze, is Stefan Kurth. The inspection, which oversees approximately 370 kilometers of track and around 70 train stations and stops, is also responsible for the districts of Miesbach, Bad TΓΆlz-Wolfratshausen, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, and the city and district of Rosenheim.
Elsewhere, a 24-year-old Italian was arrested during a long-distance train journey from Kufstein to Rosenheim. The Public Prosecutor's Office in Essen had issued an arrest warrant against the Italian for theft. He was taken to the Bernau detention center due to unpaid justice debts of about 1,500 euros, where he spent around 50 days before his arrest.
The Bundespolizeirevier Garmisch-Partenkirchen, assigned to the Bundespolizeiinspektion Rosenheim, was also involved in the arrest. The Italian had to pay around 1,500 euros in fines for usurping authority. A Kosovar man, who had also been in Bernau due to unpaid fines, had to pay around 1,600 euros for the same offense.
The Bundespolizeiinspektion Rosenheim is particularly active against cross-border crime. In addition to its work against the smuggling of foreigners and irregular, illegal migration in an approximately 200-kilometer-long section of the German-Austrian border, it also collaborates with international law enforcement agencies to apprehend wanted individuals.
