Introducing the TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer: A New Chapter in Legendary Timekeeping

TAG Heuer, a brand synonymous with clarity, precision, and speed, is set to unveil a new chapter in the Carrera's illustrious history with the launch of the TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer. This innovative timepiece, scheduled for release in October 2025, promises to revisit an earlier experiment by Heuer with lunar phases and calendar watches from the 1940s and 1950s.

A Timeless Design for the Modern Age

The TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer is crafted with a 39mm stainless steel case, boasting a finely polished and satin-finished exterior, prominent horns, and a domed sapphire crystal that is anti-reflective on both sides. The watch is available in three distinct versions, each featuring a unique character.

The classic stainless steel version, with its silver dial and black bezel, harks back to the minimalistic, legible, and functional design that Jack Heuer, the creator of the Carrera, intended for the racetrack. For those seeking a touch of luxury, there are two-tone editions with rose gold, one limited to 500 pieces, and another priced around 6,900 euros.

For a more futuristic twist, a limited edition with turquoise accents is also available, priced at approximately 4,350 euros. All three models can be paired with either a stainless steel or two-tone bracelet or a gray leather strap with a security folding clasp.

Precision and Accuracy at the Forefront

The TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer's automatic caliber 7 (base Sellita SW385-1) beats at 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour and offers a power reserve of 56 hours. The watch's most striking feature, however, is its newly developed lunar phase display. This intricate system uses a rotating disc to show seven lunar stages over a 29.5-day cycle, ensuring the display advances every day at one o'clock in the morning and remains accurate to within one day over more than a century.

A Technical Masterpiece

The design and development of the TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer is the work of Carole Forestier-Kasapi, the Movement Director and complications specialist responsible for the technical breakthroughs, including the moonphase complication in this model. The screwed case back features an engraved observatory motif, adding a touch of elegance to this technical masterpiece.

With 100 meters of water resistance, the TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer is practical for everyday use, making it the perfect companion for those who value precision, style, and durability. Whether you're on the racetrack or navigating the city, the TAG Heuer Carrera Astronomer is a timepiece that will stand the test of time.
