Three young burglars in Dusseldorf's Oberbilk neighborhood face arrest following a series of violent robberies.

In two distinct incidents, authorities in Germany have made arrests following reports of criminal activity.

During the Chilbi festival in Glarus, Switzerland, on August 16, 2025, a 24-year-old German citizen, employed by a carnival operator, allegedly lured a 10-year-old boy into a living trailer next to the fairground. The perpetrator sexually abused the child before being apprehended by the Glarus cantonal police.

The other incident occurred in Düsseldorf on Wednesday evening, February 12th, at approximately 22:45. A trio of robbers, consisting of a 14-year-old, another 14-year-old, and a 24-year-old, attacked a 35-year-old homeless man with punches, kicks, and a metal chain. The victim required hospital treatment following the assault.

In the same incident, the trio also robbed the victim. The attack took place at Düsseldorf's main station and a nearby park. The victim fell to the ground, and another robber attempted to snatch a bag from him. A third robber kicked the victim in the face during the robbery.

The 24-year-old and one of the 14-year-olds were remanded in custody, while the other 14-year-old was released under certain conditions. The 24-year-old accomplice initially fled but was later arrested at his father's apartment on Thursday, February 13th.

In the Glarus incident, one of the 14-year-old suspects was arrested by the police nearby, while the other two suspects are known to police and were issued arrest warrants by a judge.

Investigations into both incidents are ongoing. The first victim in the Düsseldorf incident was a 46-year-old man from Dortmund. The trio of robbers struck again later that night, around 00:30, in the old town. The bag containing sweets and toiletries was recovered by the police.

These incidents serve as a reminder of the importance of community safety and the work of law enforcement in maintaining order.
