TIOL Marks 25 Years, Honours Excellence Amidst Geopolitical Challenges

The Taxation and Investment Opportunities Limited (TIOL) marked its 25th anniversary with a grand ceremony at Hotel Taj Palace on 6th October, 2025. The event, attended by notable figures, honoured excellence in taxation and business, and featured a discussion on India's geo-economic and geopolitical challenges.

The highlight of the event was a discussion moderated by Shri N. K. Singh, featuring Lord Nicolas Stern and Dr. Acharya. They explored the theme 'How should India navigate the current geo-economic and geopolitical turmoil'.

Gujarat Ambuja Exports Ltd and Max Life Insurance took home 'Gold' awards in the 'Corporate' category, with turnover brackets of Rs. 500 to Rs. 5000 Crore and above Rs. 5000 Crore, respectively. Kerala was recognised as the 'Reformist State' for its taxation efforts. SRM School of Law won the inaugural 'Gold' award in the Law Universities category.

Former Chief Justice of India Justice Sanjiv Khanna presented awards to distinguished individuals, including Late Lord Meghnad Desai, Lord Nicolas Stern, Viman Jalan, and Shankar Acharya. CMA Harkesh Tara received the first 'Facilitator' award in the individual category.

The TIOL Awards Ceremony 2025 celebrated excellence and innovation in taxation and business, providing a platform for recognition and dialogue amidst India's evolving economic landscape.
