Today commences the summer initiative "One City for All" in the city's marketplace
Chemnitz, a city for all, is set to host an exciting summer event called "Ab in die Mitte" from July 10 to August 14, 2025. As part of this project, the city will be hosting the CITYschmeckt potluck event on Saturdays, July 12 and 19, 2025, from 10 am to 2 pm.
This event invites everyone to come together, enjoy delicious food, engaging conversations, and a lively atmosphere. Each individual retailer or gastronomer is welcome to participate by docking onto the marketplace and offering their services.
The CITYschmeckt potluck event will be complemented by the CITYmalt Art Action, which includes music, interactive activities, and a transformation of an old car sponsored by Glinicke into a work of art. Visitors are encouraged to bring their favorite old songs to be redesigned as part of the action.
A wooden hut will be placed in the middle of the marketplace for catering and storage purposes. The gastronomic events will be accompanied by Osteria reBelot. Mobile trees will be acquired to create a small, green oasis, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere during the potluck event.
The "Ab in die Mitte" festival kicks off today, July 10, 2025, with the first part being the CITYmalt Art Action with Nino Bal, happening from 5 to 8 pm. The events will take place every Thursday at 5 pm and twice on Saturdays at 10 am during the summer holidays.
