In a recent evaluation by TUI, Europe's national parks and nature reserves have been ranked based on their popularity, as measured by Google reviews and Instagram hashtags. Here's a rundown of the top contenders.

The Lake District in England takes the crown as Europe's most popular national park, boasting over 36,000 5-star Google reviews. Known for its picturesque lakes, rolling hills, and charming villages, the Lake District offers a well-rounded tourist experience that clearly resonates with visitors.

Following closely behind is Krka National Park in Croatia, which holds the title for the European national park with the highest number of 5-star Google reviews. With its stunning waterfalls, crystal-clear lakes, and ancient monasteries, Krka is a must-visit destination for anyone touring Europe.

Italy's Cinque Terre ranks third in terms of 5-star Google reviews, alongside its postcard-perfect scenery and authentic atmosphere. As one of the top ten most popular national parks in Europe, Cinque Terre is a testament to Italy's rich cultural heritage and natural beauty.

Interestingly, the British national parks, including The Peak District and Snowdonia, seem to be very popular with visitors despite having fewer Instagram-worthy spots. The Peak District represents classic English landscapes and has a significant number of 5-star Google reviews, while Snowdonia, with its green hills, vast valleys, and rivers, also has a substantial number of positive reviews.

On the other hand, German national parks, in general, lag behind in terms of 5-star Google reviews compared to other European national parks. The Black Forest, with nearly five million Instagram hashtags, is an exception, but parks like the Harz and Berchtesgaden have solid numbers of 5-star Google reviews but are mid-tier in comparison to other European national parks.

Italy's "Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise" has the most Instagram hashtags among European national parks, while Dolomiti Bellunesi in Italy and Cinque Terre have nearly four million and three million hashtags, respectively.

Poland, with 23 national parks in total, has the most national parks among the top 10 most popular national parks in Europe, making it the European country with the highest number of national parks.

Europe has over 350 national parks and nature reserves, offering a wealth of natural beauty and cultural experiences for tourists. Whether you're seeking picturesque landscapes, ancient monuments, or vibrant cities, Europe's national parks have something for everyone.
