Miranda Wang Takes Lead in FM Championship

In an exciting turn of events at the FM Championship, Chinese golfer Miranda Wang has taken a commanding lead after an exceptional round of 65 on Saturday. The 26-year-old, currently ranked 53rd in the Women's World Golf Rankings, showcased her prowess with seven birdies and no mistakes.

Wang's performance has put her at the top of the leaderboard with a total score of -18. She expressed confidence in maintaining her momentum, citing a long putt on the 7th hole as a boost to her confidence.

Meanwhile, Rose Zhang and Sei Young Kim are hot on her heels, tied for second place with scores of -15. Zhang, who tamed the TPC Boston course with a score of 67, boasted six birdies and one bogey. Kim, on the other hand, scored 71 in the second round, with one birdie, three bogeys on the front nine, and three birdies on the back nine.

Andrea Lee and Jeeno Thitikul are tied for fourth place with scores of -14. Lee had a solid round of 70, while Thitikul carded a score of 65, tying her best score of the tournament so far. Nelly Korda, who has yet to win a trophy this season after winning seven in 2024, is in 13th place with a score of -9.

Hannah Green, Rio Takeda, and Bianca Pagdanganan are tied for 10th place with scores of -10. CΓ©line Borge is tied for sixth place with Ayaka Furue and Kumkang Park, all with scores of -13.

Park recorded the best score of the day with a 64, including one eagle, seven birdies, and one bogey. Boutier, who had trouble with her short game on Saturday, resulting in 33 putts and a score of 73, is currently ranked 37th in the FM Championship with a total score of -5.

The FM Championship, played in Massachusetts, is shaping up to be an exciting competition, with the leaders battling it out for the top spot. The tournament continues, with the players aiming to catch up to Wang's impressive lead.
