Tournament Organized by WAVIT: Striving for Equality in Softball Competition
The Women in AV/IT (WAVIT) is hosting the Northeast Regional Service Provider Softball Tournament on May 18, 2024, at Eisenhower Park on Long Island. This exciting event promises a day of fun and philanthropy, serving as a fundraiser for WAVIT's outreach programming.
The tournament invites teams from Digital Labor Solutions, Exertis Almo, and Atlantis Partners to participate. However, the event is not limited to WAVIT members. In fact, no prior membership is required to contribute or attend the event. Sponsorship opportunities are available for organizations looking to make a meaningful impact.
Sponsors can choose from various levels, including a Cooler Sponsorship for $2000. Sponsors of the Cooler Sponsorship will have their logo displayed prominently on all coolers at the event. A sponsorship contribution of $1000 offers recognition across various promotional channels.
Individual donations can be made through the WAVIT website, where a "Donate" button is available. Brandy Alvarado-Miranda, the founder of WAVIT, invited everyone to join the event, stating, "This tournament aims to raise funds to benefit WAVIT's mission of empowering, educating, and mentoring women in the AV/IT field."
Gina Sansivero, president of WAVIT, expressed pride in the event. She said, "We are thrilled to host this tournament and create a more inclusive and diverse future for the AV/IT industry." Sponsors can send supporters to the game to cheer on their favorite team.
The event is supported by several sponsor organizations, including the Jewish Community Foundation, UJA-Federation of New York, and several local businesses. The tournament is more than just a game; it's an opportunity to support women in the AV/IT industry and contribute to a more diverse and inclusive future.
So, mark your calendars for May 18, 2024, and join WAVIT at Eisenhower Park for a day filled with fun, philanthropy, and the spirit of empowering women in the AV/IT industry.
