On August 28, 2025, two oil spills were reported in the city of Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The incidents occurred in two distinct locations: the Gelsenkirchen-Scholven area and the Gelsenkirchen Old Town area.
In the Gelsenkirchen-Scholven area, the oil spill was located along Ulfkotter Street and extended towards Dorsten on the B224.
